Who Was on the Feet?

Everyone saw the wings

The 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show gave us everything we expected. Feathers, crystals, sequins and wings so big they needed their own postcode. Within minutes, the internet was ranking every look.

But almost nobody was talking about what the Angels were standing in. Every step down that runway was taken in a pair of heels chosen, coloured and fitted for the moment. So we asked a different question: who was on the feet?

The woman on the feet

The answer is Amina Muaddi, the official shoe partner for the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. After two years of partnering with René Caovilla, Victoria's Secret chose her to dress its Angels.

Muaddi launched her brand in 2018. Her shoes are known for sculpted heels, crystal straps and a sense of play, and in 2025 she opened her first standalone boutique on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

For the show, her team created signature styles and new designs in custom colours and materials, matched to the collection on the runway. Backstage, every pair was sized, labelled and laid out before the first model walked.

When the news landed, Muaddi summed it up herself: "I got my wings!" and "The little girl in me is so happy right now."

The Angels graced the runway

Look past the wings and each Angel's shoe was chosen to finish her look. Here is who wore what, from Amina Muaddi's own credits.

Vittoria Ceretti, Imaan Hammam, Joan Smalls

The clear PVC styles almost disappear on the runway, which is the point. They let the legs, the wings and the walk take centre stage. The mirror finishes do the opposite, catching every light as the Angels move.

The details nobody usually sees

The wings will be the photos everyone remembers. The shoes are the reason every one of those looks felt finished.

At LAEL, we focus on the intricate moments that usually go unseen. The shoe, the nail, the lash, the finish, and the people who make them. These are the details that make a look, and the artists and designers behind them deserve the credit.

Wings or heels, which caught your eye first?
